Eighth Grade Marble Roller Coasters

 Marble Roller Coaster

The eighth graders are learning how to quantify motion. They made marble tracks out of foam, cardboard tubes, and lots of tape. After they made the physical roller coaster, each student drew a model of the track. On the model they looked for all the places where the motion of the marble changed. Sometimes it went faster, slower, turned left or turned right.
